Presenting Our 10th Annual Symposium: "If Access is the Problem, is Affordable Healthcare the Solution?”

We cordially invite you to attend our 10th Annual Symposium entitled, "If Access is the Problem, is Affordable Healthcare the Solution?” on February 24, 2012 from 9am to 5pm at UC Hastings.  A reception from 5pm to 7pm will follow.

Our Symposium will address access to healthcare, including the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) implementation in California.  Our goal is to bring awareness to medical and legal professionals of the ACA’s plan for providing healthcare access to marginalized populations in California. Through panel discussions, this Symposium will provide a forum for open communication and rich discussion by highlighting current programs and prospective solutions.

Nationally recognized health care and antitrust law expert, Professor Thomas (Tim) Greaney of the Center for Health Law Studies at St. Louis University School of Law will be our keynote speaker.

We will address the following themes:

  • The Arrival of Healthcare Reform: What is the ACA?
  • Access Denied: Who Needs Increased Access to Healthcare?
  • Exploring the Iron Triangle: Will the ACA improve Cost, Quality, and Access?
  • Real Solutions from the Ground Up
Our Symposium is FREE and open to the public!  CLE and CME credits are available.  To see the full agenda and to register please visit http://www.hastingsraceandpovertylaw.com.
